重劍(epee)和箔(foil)的區別

劍和劍是擊劍運動中使用的不同型別的劍。一般劍用三種，劍是第三種。
雖然箔是輕而靈活的，但一個重劍是一個沉重。當劍是輕刺劍時，長劍是一把重刺劍，在使用劍的戰鬥中，主要目標是軀幹，包括背部，而不是手臂。但是當使用EPE時，目標是整個身體。
當使用花劍時，當劍的頂端刺入對手的身體，而從劍的側面射出的擊數是未知的時，就會得到擊數。如果兩個擊劍手同時擊球，則“路權”用於確定使用花劍打鬥的點數。然而，“通行權”不適用於使用重劍的戰鬥。
錫劍是最早被開發出來的。據說這種箔材是17世紀中期作為訓練武器發展起來的。重劍是在19世紀才發展起來的，當時一群法國學生想徹底改變花劍的慣例，想要一種輕武器。
為了用箔片記錄撞擊，應該用至少4.90牛頓的力推它15毫秒。當使用重劍時，推力應為7.35牛頓，持續1毫秒。當比較規則時，使用重劍的格鬥比使用花劍的格鬥具有更少的限制性規則。
