什么是检查点重启？(a checkpoint restart?)
检查点重启是一种用于克服导致计算机系统故障的问题的策略。本质上，这种类型的重启通过识别系统内存中的特定点（称为检查点）来帮助恢复出现故障的系统。然后，该点被指定为恢复点，可用于激活系统还原并使系统重新运行。驱动此检查点重新启动序列的编程会将系统重置为该检查点，从而有效地绕过导致系统失败的任何因素。
使用检查点重启有时是处理导致系统无法运行的某种故障的唯一方法。当关键文件已损坏且不再能够正常运行时，尤其如此。由于检查点重新启动基本上将时间返回到系统正常运行的时间点，因此可以快速、轻松地删除可能导致损坏的任何事务，并使系统重新启动并运行。
尽管实施检查点重启的具体细节会根据使用的操作系统类型略有不同，但大多数情况下都需要手动确定重启所需的恢复点。大多数系统将允许这种类型的系统还原使用各种日期作为恢复点，一直追溯到系统注册表中记录的第一个活动日期。选择日期后，系统将开始恢复到指定点的过程，并在过程成功完成时发出通知。如果无法成功恢复到特定检查点，大多数系统也会提供通知，允许用户尝试其他日期。
