什么是英语语音的要素？(the elements of english phonology?)
一般来说，英语音韵学的所有要素都与声音的产生和正确发音英语单词以传达某种意义有关。其中一个元素是英语字母表，它是单词的组成部分。字母表由26个字母组成，其中5个是元音，21个是辅音。在英语的发音系统中，辅音和元音是根据发音的方式来分类的。例如，字母“m”的声音被认为是双唇的——因为它使用两个嘴唇发出声音——而且也是鼻音，因为鼻子的通道应该打开以发出声音。。

对于不同的句子，语调也很重要。问句或疑问句通常在结尾处有轻快的向上音调，如“你回家了吗？”另一方面，感叹句往往会有某种突然爆发的语调，比如“我真为你高兴！”在这些例子中，我们可以看到语调不仅在传达意义方面很重要，而且在表达词语中的情感方面也很重要。
